The
Humans
Anne Steuart, Equinimity's owner
and lead facilitator, grew up riding horses
across the rolling hills of central Maryland's
horse country. Ever passionate about horses,
she learned of Linda Kohanov's work in 2005,
completed the Eponaquest Apprenticeship Program
in 2008 under Linda's supervision, and became
an Eponaquest Advanced Instructor in 2010. In
that capacity, Anne teaches leadership skills
development, non-verbal communication, conflict
resolution, personal empowerment, and emotional
and energetic agility using Eponaquest Approach™
techniques and tools in two, four, and six-day
EFL formats.
Also a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University,
Goucher College's Programs for Professional
Advancement, and two leadership/organizational
development programs, Anne brings to her EFL
practice over 25 years experience as a coach,
executive and administrator in the employment
and training/workforce development field. In
addition, she has studied the principles and
theory of transformational mediation and conflict
resolution with Louise
Phipps Senft, Esq., a nationally recognized
innovator in the field and Principal of Baltimore
Mediation, Inc. Anne also explored the fundamentals
of the Enneagram, a powerful system of nine
personality types that builds self-awareness
and enriches interactions with others, with
author and international lecturer Helen
Palmer at the Harvard Law School's Negotiation
Insight Initiative. More recently, Anne studied
Resistance Free® riding and equine
training methods with Richard
Shrake, nationally recognized horsemanship
clinician, riding instructor, international
judge, and author.
Anne lives in Owings Mills, Maryland, with her
family and their Samoyed dog.
Ginny Branden, Equinimity's program
associate, runs the front office of a successful
local audiology practice during the day and
is the Graham Equestrian Center's Events Coordinator
in her spare time. Ginny and Anne met in early
2009. A fixture in her practice since then,
Ginny has attended all of Anne's workshops including
the four-day Eponaquest advanced program, Riding
Into Your Mutual Relationship, that Anne and
Shelley Rosenberg, Eponaquest Advanced Instructor/Senior
Faculty, co-facilitated in October of 2011.
Ginny, whose equine partner is an enormous draft,
initially studied Parelli natural horsemanship
but more recently gravitated to Florida-based
clinician Kirsten Nelsen's (www.kirstennelsenhorsetraining.com)
Training For Optimal Balance™ program.
In addition to her extensive knowledge of natural
horsemanship, Ginny brings to Equinimity
a strong background in somatics. She lives on-site
at Graham with her fiancé, their draft
horse Storm, two dogs, and two chinchillas.
