Equinimity's owner and lead instructor Anne Clemson grew up riding horses across the rolling hills of central Maryland's horse country. After a long hiatus from the world of horses, she found herself drawn to these sentient beings and the cutting edge field of Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL). Anne completed the Epona Apprenticeship Program under the supervision of Epona founder Linda Kohanov in Arizona in 2008 and became an advanced instructor in 2010.

As an Epona Approved Advanced Instructor, Anne teaches leadership, non-verbal communication, conflict resolution, personal empowerment and emotional intelligence skills using the Epona Approach™ to equine facilitated learning in two, three, and four-day formats.

A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and Goucher College's Programs for Professional Advancement, Anne brings to her EFL practice over 25 years experience as a coach, executive and administrator in the employment and training/workforce development field. In addition, Anne has studied the principles and theory of transformational mediation and conflict resolution with Louise Phipps Senft, Esq., a nationally recognized innovator in the field and Principal of Baltimore Mediation, Inc. Anne has also explored the fundamentals of the Enneagram, a powerful system of nine personality types that builds self-awareness and enriches interactions with others, with author and international lecturer Helen Palmer at the Harvard Law School's Negotiation Insight Initiative. Most recently, Anne studied Resistance Free® riding and equine training methods with Richard Shrake, nationally recognized horsemanship clinician, riding instructor, international judge, and author.
